Earth Explorers holds the health of its participants and volunteers in the highest regard. While programs typically run every fall, we've postponed the coming school years' program until the spring of 2021. We will be using this time in the fall to work with our teachers to implement safety strategies into our curriculum and to update the program as needed. In the meantime check out past year’s films and learn more about how you can get involved once the cameras start rolling again in the spring.
The Earth Explorers curriculum is project based and helps students to develop skills in everything from project management and interviewing to team work and problem solving. Small teams work together to create films about a local scientist or engineer and
their research.
Over the past ten years, Earth Explorers has reached nearly 1,000 students who have attended 42 programs across 3 middle schools. Many former students credit our program as the catalyst that propelled them into STEM fields in college and beyond.
